Smoked or clear lenses?

On my pewter SS, what do you guys think would look best, smoked or clear signal light lenses? If the majority says smoke, how exactly do you smoke them? I've seen the clear ones for sale, but I've heard of guys on here "smoking" theirs themselves.

To smoke your lenses you need to purchase some VHT Nite Shade (Summit, Jegs, ect carries it). Then follow the directions on the can. Spray a even coat, sand with 800 grit, spray, sand, spray, sand, then when you've reached the desired affect clear coat. And your done.

clear. w/ a lighter colored car, clear lenses seem to look better to me.

I have a Black TA with clear lenses. I like contrast.

Both would look good with pewter IMO. If you go smoked, you need to do the whistler mod to your headlights or get halos so they match. Just stick to a theme whichever route you choose.

I think clear would look better but hey black out ur own and then get the clears if you think decide you'd rather get them

smoke them, but i dont think you have to buy the paint, even thoe it might be cheaper, i think there is a place that sells the darker corners that look good, but like said above you have to pull the theme farther to keep it proper

I have a black Z and im going with the black look and i am in the same position. Does anyone have pics of both smoked or clear corners on a black Camaro?
