    PCV Valve Delete?

Did anybody delete their pcv valve and installed a metco valve cover breather? Heard so much about oil consumption, my line is slightly wet with oil and concerned about the effects of it polluting/contaminating intake and the air! Double checked my buddies T/A with 42000 miles on it and discovered that his was just as bad. However, mine had a bad pcv valve where it remained open all the time.

Haven't done mine yet, but have read it in several builds, like this one:

I have the Helix Valve Breather on my passenger side as well as another filter on the driver side valve cover.
I can't tell you how they work out so far as my car is in the shop still getting a new engine installed.

I opted to ditch an oil cap for the valve breather though because it looks bad ass & has function.
I just hope I don't have any problems with it...

Don't do it! Just run a oil separator in the hose. If you have a daily driven street car you will NOT increase the life of your motor but do the opposite.

I've been running without the pcv (breathers/catch can) for a while and am tired of it. Makes the car smell and in turn I smell like an oil stop whenever I go anywhere. I'm adding a checkvalve (due to my blower to prevent boost from getting in the crankcase) to run back through the intake (I have a catch can though to prevent oil from going in).

No pics.....Due to most of my work is nitrous install and people are all secretive these days.
Power increase NO but I have had some cars that would detonate and pull timing due to oil contamination and after the separator was installed I could put more timing in them.

Whats funny is I have had people tell me that at WFO the pcv is not pulling vacuum so why would there be oil contamination in the combustion chamber.
Well this is due to the fact that these things suck so much oil due to poor baffling that when you grab the bottle or even on N/A motors rev high it sucks the oil and on wet kits the fuel washes the oil out of the intake into the cylinder.
Hope it helps you understand how this will aid in clean power all the time.....

your concept is the best compromise.
moreso with the gas or unatural aspirated engines.
