    I need some help!

Ok i own a 1999 Corvette. Well when i first got it, the interior lights (like the clock) were pulsing, and the headlights would dim whenever you put the blinker on or use the windows. So i went to autozone, and had them check the alternator and they said it was bad. So i put a $180 brandnew alternator on it. Well it was good for about a week, but now the lights are starting to do it again? Any help?

The battery may be bad from the old alternator not charging it fully.

The pulsing is from the diodes going bad. In a rebuild the biggest expense is replacing the diodes so sometimes it isn't done. Either go for a remanufactured unit-or new next time. Get it retested, some garages will do it for free if you know one with a good tester (better than Autozone that is).

What do you mean new? It was a brand new alternator. Where are the diodes at? thanks
