    PLug Gap

    anyone know the plug gap for NGK TR 55's

    The plug HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE GAP!!!!!!! It has to do with the cylinder pressure it's seeing and the ignition your running.
    If your application is all stock and just adding the performance plugs stay with the factory gap and you'll be ok.

    Stock for my car is .060, changed to TR-55's and gapped them to .055. Now see they recommend .044? www.ngksparkplugs.com

    TR55 will do fine at 0.055 but you better check them every 10K or so as that gap will widen quickly.

    In time you may find that AC-Delco 41-932 is a far better plug for your engine.

    If you are highly modded or drive constantly with a very spirited manner the Autolite 104 or even 103 may be better for you but you need to gap them up to around 0.045 to start with.

    TR55 is a bit too hot for these engines, if you must go NGK please try a TR5.
