    What gear is in a 2002 Ws6

Just wondering. Mainly because I have a hard time getting over 20mpg in my car. I had a 98 Camaro SS and my mpg was almost always 22-23mpg. What could the reason be. I thought these cars were almost identical.

auto = 3.23, manual = 3.42. Is that city driving or highway. If city I'm jealous I only get around 12-14 and like 22-26 highway with my 4.10s.

lay off the gas, although we all know it is just too damn much fun...LOL.

About half and half. What gets me is that my Camaro got better mpg. I love my TA, but I find it strange.

maybe subconsciously you don't realize you are getting on the gas a little more with this car than with your previous one...LOL. Also are they identical as far as mods to include simple things like air filter and such. In any case I wouldn't be worried about it.

both are 100% stock. And I'm not worried just curious. Love my car though.

I have a '00 WS6 and get about the same as you. 22-23 mpg on about a 50/50 mix of city/highway.

But... I suspect my gas mileage will go down in the next few months since I'll be replacing my original plugs and wires. Oh yeah, I'll be putting in headers and an ORY at the same time. ZOOM-ZOOM!

I have yet to get under 24MPG average with a 01 TA M6 with about 60/40 hwy city. I wouldn't worry about it too much but you can always check your fuel filter and plugs

All M6 vehicles have a 3.42 stock. A4s come with a choice of 2.73 or 3.23 if you still have a question of your gear ratios here is a link that will be helpful www.f-body.org/gears/
