Help On Choosing Cam?

I have a v6 camaro, and am looking to buy a competition cam. I know that the cams do not cost much, however i bet the installation can get pricy. Can anyone tell me what kind of cam is good, and about how much im going to pay for installation?

Also, i would like to know about how much hp it will add, and what else i will need in order to install the cam.
