    prepping for LT install

I will be installing Lt's on my car shortly and was wondering if I should get grade 8 locking bolts? My car has 144k and I'm a little concerned about the integrity of the manifold bolts. I'm already getting new GM gaskets and O2 extensions. Thanks.

Well, it wont hurt if you do. Didn't your LT's come with bolts? Just wondering because mine did

From what I have read stock GM is working damn fine.

I re-used the stock bolts and they are working fine. Just inspect the threads and you can soak them in alcohol to make them very clean again. My car had 90+K miles at the time.

Normaly the bolts that come with lt's are garbage so either re-use your old ones or pick up some new ones.

I used Stage 8 brand locking header bolts. By the time I got done I wasn't in any mood to screw around with it again for a while.

Thanks for the input guys, I'm not sure if my Lt's come with bolts or not, I guess I'll look at the condition of the bolts when I take them out and the decide whether I should get locking ones.
