Firebird or Corvette?

I don't know if this has been posted before, but why do some people prefer the firebird over the corvette or vice versa?

Ok ill try to answer this the best i can... couple of years ago i was in the market for a low mileage 2002 black on black ws6 with an m6... COULD NOT FIND ONE... that is the only reason i drive a vette...

then i ran across my vette and decided to buy it...

looking back... i messed up... and here is y...

I LOVE TRANS AMS... the look, the muscle car feel... everything... i still wish that i had gotten one... im trying to sell my vette and if i had the t/a i was looking for i doubt i would be selling it...

I dont like my vette because around here there are move VPM (vettes per million) then there are stangs... ok so maybe not that bad, but its bad... the vette looks so much more dated... the interior is just sad compared to a c6 (which i suppose if i didnt have anything to compare to as in the case of the t/a it wouldnt be as bad).

The vette is faster and handles better and HUD id F'n sweet.

I would go t/a... i honestly think i expected soooo much from a vette that when i actually got one it wasnt ALL THAT... its not a bad car, but it kinda make me wonder y ppl are so ga ga over these things...

its all about opinion... i expected muscle from a t/a and i think it would have supplied it... i expected more attention and glamore from a vette... and it just doesnt supply...

BTW if you end up looking for a vette i have a '00 with 47k on the odo for $22.5k...

Corvette has 50+ years of existence. Fbods have 35 years of existence. Bottom line, there is more general prestige in owning a Vette versus an fbody, and that will never change.

Some people are brand loyal... Pontiac over Chevy.. etc. I personally would still take my Trans Am over a Vette if they were comparably optioned and priced. Always liked the look.. the feel.. and the name.

Go to the chevy dealership and sit in the new Z06.....you'll take that over a camaro or T/A for sure. I would at least.

once again money, I would much rather have a c5 z06 but my pocket book wouldnt comply so ive got a pretty nice TA instead
