The color's name is "Blue-Green Chamelion". Not a very common color. This is all I have on 2000 production numbers (no color breakdown):

    Firebird Convertible 1149
    Formula 1302

    Trans Am Convertible 783
    Trans Am WS6 7166
    Trans Am Convertible WS6 1025
    Total 31826

Well, without a detail breakdown there is no way to tell exactly. Additionally, non-WS6 cars weren't documented w/ a build#. But in '98 only 3.4% of the 9773 non-WS6 T/A coupes built were BGC (336), so if you rely on statistics and assume the same ratio of BGC cars were built in '00, then 3.4% of 6639 = ~228 estimated BGC T/A coupes built in '00.

Probably explains why you don't see very many BGC T/As, I've only seen one other, a girl at work bought a '99 BGC T/A after she wet her panties riding in mine.

That is true. In 1998 and 1998 only was Bright Green Metillac made along with Sport Gold Metallic and Purple.

I thought "Mystic Teal" was the name Ford used for a similar color (green/purple) on the Cobras. Regardless, in '98 Pontiac called it "Blue Green Chamelion". They also offered a "Bright Green".

So much mis-information, ..., *shakes head*
No, Pontiac did NOT call the LS1 based Firebirds 'Mystic Teal'.
It was called Blue-Green Chameleon as mentioned before.
There was also a Bright Green, but this car mentioned in the first post appears to be BGC.
The BGC was not a '98 only color. The Bright Green may have been tho.
But the way the thread starter explains it, I would 'guess' it's BGC. But I wouldn't come right out & state it as fact without seeing more photos.

Edit: Wow, Johnny, you musta been thinkin' the same thing, ..., at the same time. I was just slower on the tree, ...
