Hood,Wheels,Slight difference in suspension and WS6's come with power steering cooler I believe and WS6 and SS cars have 162MPH speed limiters whereas non SS or WS6 cars cut off at 118.

Non WS6 cars are not limited at 118. It depends on whether you have an auto or manual. My non WS6 98 TA m6 has hit 135 before and that was in 5th gear with about another 1000 rpm before I needed to shift into sixth.

ws6 cars have a different cat back as well (or at least different exh. tips) as and most ws6 cars came with a hurst shifter

Like it was mentioned before, just the hood, lower ari box, and tires are the BIG differances. yeah i guess the suspension is tightened a bit to. I think the WS6 package was $3500 more than the other ones

This is false. They all have the same motor, same tranny, same rear. They all dyno pretty much the same. A WS6, Corvette, or a stripped down Z28 will put down the same kinda numbers.

The ram air isn't gonna show any difference on the dyno. You have to be moving in order to reap the benefits of the ram air system. Also you have to remove the baffles that stupid GM put on the ram air intake in order to make them truly work effectively.

Author a WS6 has suspension upgrades, 17" rims (And of course the spiffy 275 rubber), a larger air intake, ram air hood, and a less restrictive exhaust system. Most people will just pass on getting the WS6 cause it is more expensive then the base TA used, and just put on a ram air hood and some rims.

It's all up to you to decide if the car is really worth while. I think no one will dispute that in 20 years the WS6 is gonna be worth quite a bit more money then a base Trans Am, especially if it is a numbers matching car.

Personally i'd just say save the bucks if you want bang for the buck and get a TA, but if you plan on keeping it the rest of your life, like Luos, then get the WS6. Hope that helps.

This is false too. It's never been proven anywhere, ever. They all run the similar times in the quarter mile, which is the true measure of horsepower. I've been watching for years. Stripped Z28's run the same. If WS6's ran consistantly high 12's from the factory you might be right, but they don't. LS1 F bodies come from the factory with about 350hp at the flywheel, like the Vette. GM underates the F Bods so Corvette owners will feel "superior". They just underate the WS6's and SS's a little less. (for the same reason) Jees, this is old, old news.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

T/A is about 10-15% cheaper b/c of looks, etc. The best bet is buy a stock T/a and mod it beyond a ws.6 with the money you saved

Dunno about that the fastest times in a T/A were done by a WS6. As I recall in Motor Trend they coerced a 13.4 sec. 1/4 mile at 107mph in one, versus a 13.8 sec. pass as previously recorded by a Firebird Formulae, when they had a comparison test between it and a Z28 and 98 Cobra Mustang.
