what do you think this SS is worth?
Hi guys, have been lurking around the site, you have some great info here. I am a turbo buick guy but need a new daily driver and have an itch for an ls1. I found a 99 ss blue/gray interior, 75000 miles, six speed, solid top, crank window, manual locks, and a/c. car is nice and clean, drives pretty solid. I need y'alls advice on what you think its worth and any hints on common problem area to look for? Any help is appreciated, like I said right now turbo buicks are more my thing but would like to add an ls1 car to the stable. Thank you in advance for your help.
Oh yeah, asking price is $12,500

of my F-Bodies- Too tough to pick just 1
Seems good to me. Of course it's all in the eye of the beholder. A lot of people would think that's quite a bit of $$ for a low option car. My opinion is quite different. I prefer cars with less power components...less to go wrong!
That's actually a rare car. I think there were only about 400 coupe SS Camaros in 99.Last edited by FBODYREDDEVIL; 03-26-2007 at 02:53 PM.

According to Kelley Blue Book private party value
excellent-----10,345
good----9,650
fair----8,745
Suggested Retail value ie. dealership
excellent is 11,690
Trade in value
excellent----8,825
good----8,185
fair----7,140
These are just number personally in the three months I looked around oklahoma I only found three SS's for sale here. Good luck man.
Also think about if the 2009 does comes out next year then the lots will be littered with 3rd gen camaros. Just like the mustangs were when the new bod style came out just the way of the car business. And with it being manual locks and windows less shit to have to replace.

mystic teal metallic- 1998 Z/28
I'ts not actually a delete thing,
The t-top option just wasn't checked off, when it was ordered, + neither was the prefered option group option,(which gives you the power options etc.)
It also most likely has no cruise, foglamps, electric mirrors, leather wrapped steering wheel, shifter, or parking break handle,or power seat, body side moldngs, alarm + keyless.
About 90% of All camaro's were ordered by the dealership, + They make more $ on loaded cars so thats why most are loaded.
Thats too much for a stripped 99 with those miles,+ the weight savings is only about 20 lbs, not nearly enough to be worth the sacrifice of the conveniences.
That car will be tough for you to sell when the time comes.
There was one on auto trader a little while back,
an 01 with 29k mi for 13k he called me a week after i talked to him, + he left a message saying he would take $12k.He probably sold it for less.
People want the options.

I paid 12,000 for my car with 47k miles. I would offer $10,000 tops for it.

Onyx Black- '02 Camaro SS(replica) M6
!!!Don't forget to check the driverside doors' option code label!!!
look for option code WU8. this verifies it's a real SS.
other wise the price sounds good on paper. look that thing over real good!

Look it over very, very close! I almost bought a 2000 Z-28, and the day I went to pick it up, I decided to take a closer look. It turns out that a fender had been replaced, and the entire rear end of the car had been repainted (you could see the tape marks). The car could have been keyed, or something minor, but why take the chance? I am very picky though... lol

Black on Black- 2000 Camaro SS M6
You def wouldnt regret it! tell him you were looking at spending around 9k for a Daily driver, and would maybe consider the SS if he could get it that low. more than likely if its a dealer he will say thats too low and go check with his manager to see what he can do. I bet if the car is listed at 12.5k you can get it for 10 or 10.5. I know how the bs works. i used to work at a dealership. let us know if you get it.
