My Trunk Does a Trick!
Does your trunk do this too?
Normal:
Lifting the back end of the trunk:
It lifts up about an inch... I was wondering if this was normal? I took a look at all the connecting brackets and everything looks right.

it's just another f'd up design by good ole gm. crack the lid a bit and look at the hinges and you'll see why. the shock is the only thing pulling it down and its own weight. did i mention that damm hump in the passenger seat, come on. 4 generations and it's still there.

I have noticed on mine that on each back corner there is a latch bolt on mine that locks under a strike-plate when I close the lid. Wondering if your latch bolts came loose and are missing...

I checked the wifes 96 vert and although the passenger side was tight, the drivers side would lift up about an inch.
The 4th gen verts are just like the 3rd gen verts. Basically just an after thought conversion. My wife hates the way the trunk opens and swore there was something wrong with it until I showed her an 02 vert that was just as hard to open as hers.
