how rare is the chamelion color (blue-green) changing color??

seen probly 2 of these and never seen them on any of the maro/ta production #'s count. just want to know how rare and some pics.

wouldnt mind having one of those, even thoe i had a tbird in that color which after gettting hit in the back was totaled bc the paint job/ labor was more then 1/2 the car was worth. sooooo

Well, I don't actually know for sure, but I really doubt they came from the factory like that at all. I would figure it would be either a dealer paintjob, or an owner repaint.

I have a 2001 Camaro SS and its a real dark blue color. In different angles and different shades of light it tends to change colors to a deep purple or green. I know my paint is factory. Maybe thats what your talking about but otherwise ive never seen any camaros or T/A's with chameleon paint.

i don't think that GM offered the current "chameleon" blue/green/purple on the f-body, or any of their vehicles, even as late as 2002. i think it wasn't until '04 or thereabouts that they started offering the color changing paint on i believe it was the SSR to begin with.

Oh ok, I thought you guys were talking about actual chamelion paint... where-as thats a pearl-coat paintjob... Although, I've never even seen a pearl Camaro before, that looks nice.

that is nice and rare but no, i think it might of been different

95 with 4,565,
96 with 637,
97 with 3,102,
98 with 2,475,
99 with 1,482,
00 with 1,680,
01 with 930 &
02 with none.
