    Which direction to follow?

Would it make better sense, on an A4 car, to run an s/c or a turbo? I would think an s/c would be better, only because the power delivery comes on a bit quicker than with a turbo, and you would have less control over shifting and being in the right gear when the power comes on.

You will get a little quicker response out of a blower than you will a turbo. But you are not talking a lot.

I like turbos better but I have been messing around with Buick V6s for years.

An automatic is better than a stick shift for a turbo or blower. The automatic will shift faster no matter who you are and turbos work better under a load.

Turbos make more mid range torque than a blower will though and that is a major difference you can feel.

    Just my 2 cents

I wasn't really getting at the actual shifting process itself, but rather being able to take advantage of the different powerbands that the two present. Like how a supercharger
has boost all through the powerband, whereas a turbo isn't always under load. I'm not sure if that makes sense, I'm just trying to compare and contrast the two.
