"PCV" PVC is what plumbers use...
The PCV has to do with relieving positive crankcase pressure through the valve covers. Older motors used to have a "breather" filter. But because of stricter government standards and improvements in design, cars come equiped with a PCV system that vents the gases back into the intake. The PCV valve can get gummed up and not operate like it should. Since it's a relatively cheap part, the best thing to do is just replace it. Get one from a local parts store and then look under your hood (by your valve covers). You can't miss it.

When your PCV valve is clogged it doesn't allow your crank to breathe...you lose efficiency ( gas mileage) and RWHP when she cannot breathe..\
This is my signature. It is mine. Nobody else has one like it.
