Monsoon amp Gain Control???

I found a little doodad next to the monsoon amp. It was a white box with rounded edges, on it was a knob that said "Signal" on it It looked like a gain control for the monsoon amp, so I turned the knob just to see what happened. I really didn't notice much of a difference.... anyone know what that little gadget is?

It's definitely not a Gain control . The POS Monsoon amp is nothing more than an over-hyped power booster. It has speaker level inputs so there is no Gain control like on a true power amplifier.

Are there any other connections to this box?

didn't look at it long enough to follow where the wires went. I was hoping it had something to do with my KeyFob b/c i have to be RIGHT next to the car in order to use anymore...i'll inspect it later tonight.

That box is not for your amp, its for your stock car alarm. That white knob sets the sensitive setting on your car alarm.
