Metal in oil HELP
Was changing oil in my TA when I noticed three needle bearings stuck on the magnet on the drain plug. I'm thinking it has to do with my rockers but need some more info on what it is and what it will cost to fix. Car runs and sounds great.

Yeah, it's from the rockers. Remember seeing some pics someone posted on another board and mentioning a TSB on it several months ago, they're really small. If I remember correctly GM says you need to replace all the rockers and change the oil again after some miles. If you need it I'll search around for it tomorrow for you. Sorry...maybe you can identify which one it is, but I'd replace them all.

Before signing off I did a quick site search here for "needle bearings" and found this: www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24114

Yep it's the rockers. Car only has 42k. I found a replacement on gmpartsdirect and it's only 23 bucks a rocker but I think it's time to upgrade to rollers. thanx
