Question What do you use to clean an intake manifold?

I am going to sell my Weiand instake finally. It has been on my shelf for some time and needs to be sprayed down with something.

    What can I use?

I also painted it black with high temp black paint (to make it look stock). I guess I dont care if the paint comes off, but what do you guys suggest? Brake Cleaner? Too Strong for aluminum?

Do you need to clean the inside or outside?

If inside: Carb and Choke cleaner...

If outside: Maybe just a good engine degreaser...

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

since there's no moving parts, can you just dunk it in a bathtub of soap n water?

Bare in mind its off the car. Water wont cause it to rust?

If I spray degreaser on it, I will have to rinse it...
