Engine hp vs rwhp / torque?

Engine hp vs rwhp / torque?

Okay, so I know that there is a loss in hp going from the engine to the wheels. But what is the generally accepted loss in percentage.

And also, would there be a similar loss in percentage when talking about torque (always wondered about this but have never asked).

For F-bodies, approximately 15% for auto trans and 12% for manual trans.

I've always assumed that dyno's give you your to the wheels hp/torque but I may be wrong.

It depends, my 2001 Z28 A4 stock motor with 3.73's and Y3000 converter had a high RWTQ rating of 365, HOWEVER that was the torque spike between 1800 and 2500 RPM, my actual RWTQ was 325 @ 5400 RPM, what you want to read is the Torque curve after the spike.
