    Well it doesn't have SLP exhaust on it!

    Does it look like it has cloth on the door panel? I didn't think that SS's with leather seats have cloth door panels unless they were a clone made from a Z28. I could be mistaken though...

    I think I remeber that color being on either the 97 or 99's. I love that color so that might be some true production #'s on the 98's!

    This Link of GM codes shows a "79U" code as burgundy metallic... and the teal codes as..

    32U : PRIMARY COLOR ,EXTERIOR, MED BRIGHT TEAL MET
    36U : PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, MED DK TEAL MET
    37U : EXTERIOR COLOR, PRIMARY (DARK BRIGHT TEAL METALLIC)
    That page could be wrong, I guess... The mystic teal metallic was a color for that year, but I don't know of the production numbers.

    Well according to the Camaro White Book this car is real.

    1 1998 Camaro SS Vert 79U

    The SLP SS grille was not available until 2001 so that is why you do not see the grille. If it was a base SS and from the looks it will not have an SLP sticker just the "WU8" (from the photo of the sticker WU8 appears on the 2nd to last line 3rd number in from the right) on the GM sticker showing it was an SS, if it had extra SLP options it would have the Y2Y code (2nd sticker content from SLP)
