1997 Grand Cherokee- 1999 Firebird.
A very sincere THANK YOU to everyone on this forum!!!!
You have no idea how much it means to me to read all of you kind words regarding my father. Thank you from the bottom of my heart everyone!!! So here's the news.....Looks like he's going to be ok. He broke both cheek bones, jaw, nose, sternum which caused hemorrhaging, 6 ribs, 2 punctured lungs, 25 stitches in his left leg, 30 stitches in his head, 2 black eyes and he's COVERED in road rash and cuts. My step mom has 25 staples in her head, a conussion, and some bruising on her brain. Evidently my dad hit a puddle on the highway at night at 80mph (speeding) and it caused the car to skid sideways then flip 3 times and he was thrown out of the car (no seatbelt). Ironically, the police said if he stayed inside the car he would have been decapitated because the roof is almost touching the bottom of the drivers seat, and the windshield is jammed under the roof. Neither of them remember a thing. God was watching over them. Again, thank you for the kind words.

I am glad to hear everything is better and they are improving. Like Sarge said, punishment and a strong lecture is in order.

Hugger Orange/W stripes- 1999 Z28 M6
I'm very glad to hear they both survived and will live on.
I have to guess the trooper knew what he was talking about with the damage to the car and what would have happened IF your father stayed inside. Still, I unbuckled only ONE dead person from a seat belt (head on with a tractor-trailer) in my whole career. The rest were NOT wearing one. I sure hope your parents see the value of one.
Wishing them a speedy recovery.
