    Looking for small turbo setup

Looking for a cheap affordable small turbo setup that would require minimal amounts of internal work. I know alot about import forced induction but I have only had my LS1 for a few months now so I'm still a newbie. When I say small, I'm talking about T-25 small. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

if youre going that small you could run 10 pounds of boost through it with a small side intercooler if you wanted.

i dont know about any kits that small for the ls1 but you could always fab something up.

what else do you wanna know?

First off....a T-25 is going to be too small for a LS1.....if you tried to run 10lbs of boost thru it the air would be so beat up that it wouldn't be much good......for a little 4-cylinder...fine.....but now you're trying to fill up a v-8.......going to have to go a little bigger.....

Yea, see I am on a VERY limited budget, I am wanting to do a setup where I really wont have to forge anything thats why I want to run a low amount of boost or CFM. Just hook up an I/C and slap in a turbo. I know its not that simple but want it to be relatively cheap. My buddy can get an I/C for 150 cuz the last one he bought took forever to get herevso he gets a big discount and he aid he can get me a t3/t4 hybrid turbo. Any feedback appreciated

I can understand the "very limited budget" portion but when it comes to turbos you just dont want to take short cuts. If you dont have the money now then it would be my suggestion that you start putting away for a good system down the road......I mean I know how it is to want one on the car and all but about the only road you could take is trying to build one of these junkyard builds which will give you what you paid for........some things to think about are once you start going forced induction you'll have to upgrade the fuel system (injectors, pump) even at 5lbs of boost to enjoy the benifits.....plus once you start adding power to the motor something else will become the weak link in the equation....drivetrain to start with.......

I guess one thing to know is what kind of budget are you working with and what kind of power do you want?

Forced induction is expensive no matter if ya want a "small" system or not. that T-25 turbo is entirely too small for a v8. with all that said...the "cheapest" kit you can get without breakin the bank is the STS. you can run 5-6psi and it will be plenty safe on stock internals. so if ya dont mind a butt mounted turbo, thats the way to go with cost in mind. however, your still gonna need to put out for injectors and a fuel pump cause the stockers wont be able to keep up after awile. this is the world of forced induction as we know it....enjoy your stay...
