what should i run with a 100hp shot???

what should this run in the 1/4 mile?? 2002 Vette A4 trans 273 gears, only mods are a Vortex cold air intake, 100hp wet shot of nitrous no tune, Mickey Thompson et drag tires, are 11s possible?? What et and mph will i run?? D/a is going to be in the +2000 range saturday

i dont know about the altitude change but i bet a low low 12. i cant see you breaking 11s with just 100 shot but i could be way off. pull a good 60 foot and its possible.

before the nitrous, spinning the stock runcrap tires i ran a 12.79 at 111mph, now with drag tires and a 100hp shot what do you think i will run this weekend??

11.70s with a good 60 would be my conservative guess.....

are they mickey slicks or are you running radials?

what gears?

they are the non radials 26x11.5x17..... 273 gearing

low 12s, MAYBE high 11s IMO.

Those gears are going to hurt your 60'....

Also, what RPM are you going to spray at? Going to hit it out of the hole in 1st?

Make sure you dont bog the motor down when you're @ low RPMs while spraying!!! I've seen a vette just like yours pop into flames (intake backfire) @ the track...

3000RPM should be pretty safe in 1st...

spraying at 2500rpm in first gear......do you know if that backfire was because of the low rpm for sure?? or did the guy forget to turn off traction control?? running nitrous with traction control on is a no-no

He had moved about 10ft off the line and it went BOOM. Not positive... but 2500 sounds pretty low to me on 273s...

i always sprayed my truck at 2500rpm or less, went through 38 bottles with no problems using a 150hp shot, stock motor, over 5000 pounds

heres a video of me spraying at well under 3000rpm in my work truck, listen for when the nitrous comes on just after i launch.....copy and past the link for the video

thanks.....i might wait until 3000rpm for the first few runs

truck has a plastic intake just like the ones on the ls1 motors

just got back from the track, first time out with the nitrous, after taking the advice from others i didn't spray to well after the 60ft mark because of my stock A4 trans and 273 gears so that only netted my 1.90 60ft times, time to get a converter so i can spray when launching for much better 60ft and 1/4 times, heres what the time slip shows i will post it tonight when i get it scanned.......with a 122.42mph what kind of times will i run with a 3600 converter?? i was only spraying a 100hp shot today, plans to spray a 200hp shot soon........

60ft...1.90
330ft...5.04
1/8....7.63 at 96.10mph
1000ft...9.82
1/4....11.70 at 122.42mph
