abs and traction control
ok i found a pretty good deal on a 03 corvette, has about 40 thousand on it, i can get a good deal on it because the traction control and abs isnt working, any ideas why they would both go out, and would fixing these probably cost to much to make this a good deal?

It is probably the ABS module that went bad. If you can get it for a good price, jump on it. I've seen these modules go on Ebay for $20 bucks and they are not really all that difficult to install. It really depends on price though. Good luck

I wouldn't even worry about the TCS. That more of a pain then anything. If the ABS module doesn't fix it I wouldn't worry about it and get the car if it's a good deal. Seeing I like driving in the snow and ice I don't care for ABS that much either. I disable mine in the winter. I takes about 5 time the distance to stop on ice!

i was gonna go and try to get the car this afternoon and someone bought it this morning, my friend sells cars where it was and called and told me, ended up going for 21,000 , only 40,000 miles and abs and traction control was the only thing wrong with it

That was a great deal, you could have spent $500 and resold it and made about a 7-8k profit.

If you are lucky enough to find another good deal just remember the saying "he
who hesitates is lost", but in all fairness to you there is also another saying "look before you leap" (just don't look too long). In all honesty IF my '02 C5 was stock
I wouldn't sell it for $21 grand and the way it's built now that number wouldn't come close. Just be patient and keep looking, but keep an open mind. My first vette needed body work, but the price was right so I bought it.Michael
