Replace Spark Plugs at 100,000
Ok.. it is time this gets done. I have looked a bit on some forums, other LS1 engine type. Seems some tend to stay with stock if you are not drag racing. I have seen iridium vs. platinum vs. copper. I have the plats right now. Is one better than the other? Engine is all stock, now that the warranty is almost over, changes will be coming. My baby NEEDS to growl.

I hear iridium is better and MD wires.

So I should also replace the plugs wires too? Sorry but I am just getting to know my way around this engine and don't know too much about standard replacement parts done at different times. Car has only seen the mechanics at the dealers, the paint shows it too!

Have someone check the ohms / resistance of the wires with a fluke. If they are ok then keep 'em another 25 k and recheck. That can save you money. I here that platinum is not so good.

If the original AC Delco Irridium plugs made it the first 100k, it doesnt seem they work that bad. If the engine is non nitrous, use irridium, if you dont mind changing them a lot use copper.
