German Castrol 0W30 - A few questions
So I found some German Castrol 0W30 oil and put it into the 2001 WS6. I also put in a Mobil 1 filter. It has 28k miles.
I've noticed my oil pressure is higher now, but also there is quite ticking on start up. At first I thought I had bent pushrods since the ticking would get louder and faster with RPMs, but I noticed the tick would disappear after 2K RPM. The ticking altogether disappears within a few minutes of warming up.
Anyone else using GC 0W30 notice this?

Quicksilver- 03 Corvette Z06
the ticking is probly a lifter not pumping up right off the bat. thats why it goes away when its warm. i dont think it would be caused by the oil change just time to adjust the valves. sorry it could also be an exhaust leak. but you said it changed with oil so i went there first.

Sorry to do this, but I need to change my story. The ticking is not there when it's cold. The ticking only begins when it is warm, and is only present between 1500-2000 RPM...
