    y pipe banging...

i know this has already been discused once ,but someone inform me on where on the pacesetter y pipe does it need to be bent and how much. Also i read an article about putting high temp silicon hose between the pipe and floor board, kinda ghetto but what ever works. It's flipping driving me crazy.

Your engine is probably twisting too much do to worn motor mounts,
Poly mounts should solve your problem. Anything else is just a Band Aid Fix

for what it's worth, I just beat the shit out of the floor to make the exhaust stop hitting. might be worth trying since you won't be able to see it anyway. I would imagine the bit of hose would just fall out eventually anyway

The Y pipe under the drivers side floor board, will need to be cut and "re-welded" or You can pick up a mufflex bumstop which also works well. I had to cut about a foot of my Y pipe out and bend it then re-weld it in and the problem was resolved. Iv heard of the "hose fix" working but i wouldnt go that route. Just seems rigged.

mine did too. I bought the mufflex bump stop and it didn't fit. We cuz some heater hose up and jammed it between the pipe and the underneath of the car. No problems so far, but i might need to replace it from time to time cuz it gets squished and falls out.
