porting stock heads?
is it worth fully porting the stock heads, and installing a performance valvetrain? what kinda gains would i get? or is it better just to buy aftermarket heads? heads for the ls1 are fucking expensive. do you know of any good flowing heads that wont cost more than my short block?

With ls1 heads ported you can usually see 30 rwhp gain.

Most people port or by ported stock heads all the time, definetly worth it unless you have a large inch motor going for big time power. You would need some aftermarket heads at that point.
