ATTN: Streetbike Owners-Insurance
What bike and year do you have?
Who is your insurance provider?
How much coverage?
Yearly cost?
Age?
Do you like them?
Im buying one asap. Looking at a 01 929 cbr and a 03 R6....around $3500 each.
Still cant decide. Iv got several quotes, seems to be they are about the same on insurance due to the 929 being older. About $600-$1200 for liability depending on how much coverage on health and uninsured crap. Full coverage is WAYYYY too much.
I dont really want to spend over $3500 on a bike. Cant wait to get one tho.

Don't be stupid like me by getting liability insurance ONLY.
I had my brand new 2005 R6 stolen and only had liability insurance. Now amagine paying monthly for a bike that you don't have and then when you pay it off, you get the worthless title for a bike you still don't have.

I got a ton of quotes with different coverage for many different bikes a few months ago. I got quotes from like 6 different companies, and for me it seems like American Family beats BY FAR any other companies for motorcycle rates. I'm 17 years old. I don't remember how much the quotes were, but they were definately cheaper for full coverage than full coverage on my car. And I was getting quotes for the same kind of bikes you're looking at by the way.

A. 2007 650r Ninja
B. StateFarm
C. I have full coverage on the bike with $500 deductiables on both comprehensive and collision, but not sure about of coverage but I know that they are the same as both of my cars.
D. I pay $860 a year.
E. I am 30 years old.
I have had no problems so far, but I do have all my vehicles and house insurance through them.

Well im paying straight up with cash in full for the bike (saved my money for a year, plus sold a atv)
So I wont have a loan or interest. AND full coverage is about $2800 w/progressive. Thats about $1800 for the damage/theft a year. In 2.5 years or so that would pay for the bike. If it was new I def. would get full coverage.
ALSO when rates get cheaper for me in a couple years I might get full coverage.

Well I have had bikes since I was 16, so I have had many different prices as many different bikes. My newest bike was a 05 GSX-R 1000 all my insurance was through St Farm with full coverage it was $150 a month w/ $250 deduct on Comp & Collision. Once I turned 25 it went down tremendously to $38 a month, same bike same coverage, just my age difference!!
