Fuel Pump ?

Hello Everyone ..

My truck died today at lunch and I think that it is the fuel pump ... I have 120k on the truck and the pump is original equipment. Any advivce on how to comfirm that it is my fuel pump?

What should the fuel pressue be, and if low, how will I know that it is the pump and not the regulator?

55-60psi for the pressure. i thought the 02 or 03+ trucks had the returnless fuel system, ie regulator built into the fp assembly.

you can pull part of the intake off and spary starting fluid in the throttle body and see if it will start then. then you know it should be a fuel problem.

Here is an update ... I purchased a fuel pressure gauge and checked the pressue at the fuel rail ... it varied from 5 to 10 psi. I pulled the tank and removed the pump. I will pick up a new pump today and install.

does it have a regulator? did you check the fuel filter?

isn't it still under warranty?? An 07 shouldn't be having these types of problems yet.
