I know Vince at FLT, and I do not think he would make this statement. From our discussions, we think that the 850FWHP is a realistic limit. Could it hold more??? maybe for a short period of time.

I wouldn't trust 1000 fly HP on any 4L60 much less 1000 Wheel hp. Sounds way optimistic.

this guy i was talkin to has a dyno at his shop, and siad it holds 1000hp. don't really know...... anyways, lets just say it is frikin strong. end of story. strong enough for whatever needs a highschool kid needs.

I dont think Vince would lay calim to reliably holding 1000 rwhp with a 4l60e either, Thats a bit over the top.

It is what I've been running in the GTO for over a year now....I cant break it....and I have tried....putting over 600 to the wheels right now.....great trannie....I did blow/eat a stall....but the trannie was fine....I have the stage 5 4l65e http://finishlinetrans.com/store/pro...products_id=31
I have heard nothing but great things about Perfomabuilt Trannies.....for the record....and the crowd I run with know what they are doing...so you cant go wrong with Performabuilt or FinishLine....PerformaBuilt sponsors LS1.COM so I would have to lean towards them now......
And for the record....Vince never said anything about any 1000RWHP to me....more like 700RWHP....as long as I didnt use synthetic ATF......
here is my build sheet....

does the 2,450 bucks include labor and everything, like you take your stock trans there, give them the $2,450, and pick it up when done? if not, how much is labor?
