05-06 Chevy SSR
What do you guys think about this vert/pickup truck? Thinking about getting so I have have a pickup truck but still have have with it. I really dont care for regular pickup trucks or the avalanche because they are boring to drive in my eyes but this truck seems to b fun and get get some work done to even though it can only haul 2500 pounds thats about all ill haul anyway max. let me know what you think thanks. also it has a ls2 engine in it and i will only buy it in a m6 since my maro is a a4 thanks

i think they are heavy, slow, overpriced, pieces of crap.
kill the 5.7L sports car and replace it with a heavier 5.3L novelty truck. smooth move gm.

I'm not a big fan of the look either but I get what you mean about it probably being funner to drive than a big 1500 or something.
As long as you are keeping the Camaro... Go for it

05 is the year the SSR got the 6.0 liter, right?

i didnt think you could get ans LSseries motor in them...
Might can get the L98 (or what ever the iron 6.0 is)
I dont really like them... I have seen one... ONE that i actually woudl have driven... i dont liekt he way the bumper rolls under... I guess with a body kit an the top never up they would look ok...

I worked at a chevy dealer everyone of them came back with realy bad water leaks and they are slow

I got this from Edmunds.....the 05s did get the 6.0 liter:
The Chevrolet SSR is a two-passenger convertible truck that was produced from 2004-'06. Buyers interested in a used SSR should make note of a few changes that occurred during its production. For its first year, the SSR came with a 350-horsepower, 5.7-liter V8 that struggled to get the 4,700-pound SSR moving with any authority. The 6.0-liter unit installed in 2005 made around 400 hp and was more adept at moving the heavy Chevy. Interior assembly quality improved somewhat during the 2005 model year, which also was the first year the six-speed manual transmission became available.

saw a nice one run a 12.8 at the drag strip last nite dont know what all was done to it

04 had the 5.3 05 and 06 had 6.0

Ok, first off, 03 was the first year. Second, the 5.3 was 03-04 and only had 300hp.
