Eat this Ricers
I documented my trip from Texas to the house just because I was curious what kinda MPG you can get with 6 speed stock LS1. Im not sure where the dealership gets their figures from but here are myne. I filled up full before I left. When I got down to about 3/4 of a tank left I stoped , recorded the mileage and then toped it off and recorded how much gas I put in. I rounded off to the nearest tenth. Guess they can't use the arguement that v-8's get crapy gas mileage.
Total Mileage: 1524mi Stops: 6
Stop: 1
Miles Traveld: 237
Gas: 8.8
MPG: 26.9

Stop #4 was in a prety hilly area of TN and VA and stop #6 was further into va when the speed limit drops off to 65. I drove 80 almost all the way thru.

It was a 226/234 554/575 112 Lunati grind.
I was happy with it. I took a 950 mile trip to my grandparents place.
Averaged it out as a whole. 27.5 MPG.

I get the exact same mileage on trips as long as I drive moderately and don't "get on it". But that's hard to do!
You must have really been driving moderately to average that.

Yep, cruise control is your friend, especially when your driving 1500 miles.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
Mine is averaging 21 though and has light mods [exhaust, and lid] which I thought would give me better mpg...i think i need a tune, frankly. b/c i have an M6 and if your getting 27ish @ 80mph...and im getting 21 @ 85....i'm losing somewhere...

That is pretty good. I have never took a trip long enought to check my mileage like that. I would like to find out what mine will do with my mods.
