Spun Bearing?
My name is Brent and I'm new to the board, my problem is that I have a '01 LS1 Z28 and in the cold weather of saskatchewan the oil press has dropped to 10 psi and there's a growling noise coming from the motor, do I have a spun bearing? or could the oil pump be fucked?

Brent I have been thinking anout this.........
If it were a spun bearing, you engine would knock, not growl. It would knock louder under acceleration, and would knock once per revolution (assuming it is only one bearing).
So, since you say growl, i would seriously consider looking else wear in the engine.
Does the growl get louder with higher rpms? If so, pull the oil pump. Consider the LS6 oil pump for replacment.
