How long to install an underdrive pully and is it a pain???

I am going to buy the ASP UD pully and wanted to install it myself and was curious of:

how long will it take to complete...
how hard of a job it is to do...
do i need any other special tools besides regular hand hools...
finally does anyone have a step by step of what i need to do to change it...

I am extremely handy and have worked on cars alot before but never did a pully swap so just wanted to know how big of a job it was!

about 1 hour with the right tools. You need a big 3 jaw puller, since you're replacing the pulley, invest in the ARP bolt. It will help pull the balancer in. Also invest in a good dead blow hammer. Check out LS1howto.com. There's an excellent write up there

alternator pulley is iffey. I have heard good things and bad things. IMO, I'd stick with the stocker. It's no big gain in my opinion overall

Use a Cam install guide and just look at the first part its all in there. With a Stick it shouldnt be too bad all you need to do is put it in gear (5th or 6th i beleive) and then you can get the bolt off of there. Its a pain with an Auto if you dont have the right tools. We had to use the screwdriver in the fly wheel method. It took us a few hours to get it all done.. that includes time going to autozone for various stuff and reading up online. Not too hard to do just read the guides and make sure you have the right tools.

Would not worry about the alt pulley, not worth it and sometimes causes power problems.
