    a question about 2000 T/A's

I see that what looks like a cruise control servo on some T/A's mounted beside the A/C accumulator, right behind the Battery...in what years was it put there? why was it moved?...

I have a 2000 and mine is not there...as far as i know it appears to be down next to the AIR Injection Pump...but the two bolt holes are still where I have seen others. Build Date of mine is 10/00. I have seen other 2000's with the system i have explained....why is my car different? I also noticed with this other system that it uses 3 seperate cables for cruise while my car only has 2...or only 2 that i can see...I like mine better its a cleaner set up...i was just wandering..thanks in advance

That would be the traction control equipment. I bet you don't have T/C.

I hate traction control. My T/A before this one had it and I don't miss it at all. The first thing after starting that car was to reach for the TCS button. Less junk under the hood makes it look better too.

Yeah I agree its traction control. Not sure I agree its crap. I live in Oklahoma and when we get snow the only reason driving my car is not completely impossible is the fact that the braking system works exceptionally well. I have friends with traction control and they can get around WAY WAY better than I can if there is any little hill. Yeah yeah I know I shouldn't drive our cars in the snow period, but its the only vehicle I got and you got to get to work somehow. I'm looking into getting a beater truck for snow days, just got to find one for the right price.

Yeah I have been told that and I am fully aware of the benefits of good rubber. Unfortunetly i'm 10% too lazy and 90% fiancially not capable of keeping an extra 2 wheels with tires or 2 tires and paying a shop to take them on and off in between seasons. We don't get that much snow, I would be better off just sitting at home and making friends cart me around .

I like when people talk about how bad these cars are in the snow. Granted, they're not a walk in the park but I had a 79 T/A that makes 4 gens look like they're AWD. That thing would sit in one spot at a traffic light and the ass end would start sliding out on it when I would lift off the brake to go to the gas. Ohio is not known for it's warm dry winters either. That winter really sucked. I got stuck in my own driveway daily.

i know how that goes Orion...i spent 1 winter in SE ohio in my bird...my parents house is an 1/8th mile uphill with atleast a 10% grade....i had to start out at the bottom of the hill in 3rd gear to get up the hill in the winter...the key was dont let out of the gas....even if it starts sliding....just keepit going straight
