    cam install labor?

How much can I expect to pay for a shop to install a cam, pushrods, and springs? What about a dyno tune?

My local shop would charge around 400 for the install of the cam and supporting mods. As far as the Dyno Tune, mine was 425.00 lifetime tune. Meaning if I change the throttle body or decide to go with a cam, they only charge me 50 bucks an hour for the Dyno time. The tuning is free. It will depend on the shop, but I think most will charge around 400 bucks.

$400 seems real low - Aldata says 15.4 hours labor - just saw the price and had a comment

Thunder Racing quoted me $650 for labor and I think $500 for a tune. $400 does seem cheap thats about the average a shop would charge for header install,

my cam install was $300 for cam, springs, pushrods, and retainers. it cost me an extra $150 for the LS6 oil pump and LS2 timing chain to get installed also. it was $400 for a lifetime tune, so anytime I go back it's just $50 for dyno time. so if you all think $400 was cheap i got you all beat. RPM here in Dallas did all the work. it only took them 6hrs. for it all, and then an hour for the tune which i was present for.
