    NOS Questions

I have been thinking of adding a 125 shot of NOS to my car and I have a few questions. My bottom half of the engine is stock LS1, The top half has 228/228 588/588 112 LSA Cam, LS6 Ported heads and SLP LS6 intake. Here are my questions: Which is the best kit to buy? I was looking at the NOS LS1 Plate kit. Do I need a better intake? Do I need to retard the timing 4 degrees? Do I need to get the car re-tuned with the nitrous kit? Any help would be great.

The LS6 intake will be fine with the spray.

You will need to retard your timing IF you've advanced it for your cam. Best way to do this is to have the car dyno tuned (again). I personally have my own programming software and run two tunes - one for the bottle, one without.

Best kit? Up to personal preference really. Most suggest NX, but I really like my HSW kit. They also have a plate setup now too which will bolt right up to your LS6 intake.

Whenever messing with induction its always best to get a tune, more then anyting with nitrous.

Will the SLP LS6 intake work with 125-150 shot?

Which is the best kit and what is the difference between one stage and two stage? Which is better?

"The best" is really a matter of opinion. HSW and NX are the most commonly recommended kits. You only need a second stage if you plan to spray more than 150HP.
