SS Panhard Rod
I have a 2000 Camaro SS which comes factory stock lower than a Z28. I want to replace the panhard rod, but noticed an adjustable rud for lowerd suspensions. I am not going to modify the current ride height, so the question is do I need an adjustable since the car is factory lowered, or can I use a solid rod since its "factory stock?" Are the mount points adjusted on the SS to allow it to use the same rod length as the Z28? And what are your opinions on the best rod?

I haven't noticed the SS's siting any lower than a Z-28. I went with a Hotchiss nonadjustable panhard rod. It was exactly the same length as the stocker.

Thanks. in doing further research I think i will pay the extra money for the adjustable. Saw a few posts that said the stock adjustment was not even, and in looking at mine it appears to slightly to the left. Thanks for the input. Also, Z27, i think you right about ride height being the same as Z28. Mine is lower when pulling up next to, but its probably due to 40 profile tires.

Red- 1998 Camaro SS
re:
A SS could be lower if it has the SLP optional suspension on it. The option kit is Eibach springs and bilstien shocks. This would lower a SS by about an inch.
My personal feelings on suspension parts are the more adjustments I have the better. This way no matter what I’m doing I can set up the suspension for it, or if I ever lower car, I can set the suspension to correct geometry. My cents1998 Camaro SS Hard Coupe Bright Red #1593

eibach is a spring manufacturer. None the less, I'm pretty sure SLP wouldn't equip their cars with an improper handling combination.
