White- 2002 Camaro
Starter Problem
I purchased and installed a new starter (refurbished) in my 02 Z28. After putting the starter in, when I reconnect the battery the car tries to start automatically. Are the wires from the starter to the solenoid switched (you have 2 large wires and 1 small coming out of the solenoid, one of the large wires is connected to the starter). That is the only thing I can think of.
Thank you for any help you can offer!

lol, I just took a class on starting/charging systems and that exact question was one of the "customer examples."
And, yes, the answer was "you've misconfigured the wires from the starter to the solenoid."
If you mix up the wires you basically bypass the ignition and neutral safety switches and jump straight from the battery to the starter.
