    Question McLeod Clutch Master Cylinder

I recently installed the adjustable McLeod clutch master cylinder in my '01 WS.6. I bled the system (no easy procedure for sure) and everything seemed fine. Now, on occasion, the pedal will get soft at the top and even wants to stay on the floor every once in a while. Then, for no apparent reason, all symptoms go away and the pedal is firm once again. Anyone else experience this?

At first I thought it might be air in the system (and this may certainly be the case) but wouldn't the symptoms always be present until the air is removed by bleeding? Or, could I have simply gotten a bad master cylinder?

I am experiencing close to the same thing. see my thread on "cant find the bleeder valve" The guy I bought my car from had just replaced the clutch and did have to send it back because of this problem. I have been driving it for 6 months and it just now starting to act up. I talked with a specialty speed shop for F-bodies and they told me if it goes to the floor and stayss that its the pressure plate. But I am not so confident in that as I have anew clutch and PP.

Thanks ANUTT1. I'm thinking I'll just bleed the system once more and see what happens. I've seen a lot on this site regarding the MightVac reverse bleeding process. Maybe I'll give that a shot.
