Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Here is what I did this week...
Much thanks to Z06-Goose for the help with this.
Talk about having too many things to do at once.
Between work and my daughter, this took much longer than planned.
Detailed the hell out of the Trans Am.
Clay bar, wash down with a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water.
Did a light cut with some Menzerna using the PorterCable. Wiped off.
Then polished with Prima Amigo using a polishing pad on the PorterCable. Wiped off.
Then two coats of that Victorias Concours wax.
Beginning...
Swirls...
After clay bar and wipe down....
Working on the cut...
Afters...
Only thing that gets me is the orangepeel of the factory paint.
That and the car is actually driven, so the front shows it.
What do you think??
I know Goose got a couple pics as well yesterday.
The shine is much improved. Reflects everything. Really looks black now.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
wow, even looking at your after pics, it's good to know that a car of your caliber still has some imperfections...give's guys like me a break.
lots of work man-that thing really looks great
what kinda time savings does the orbital do for you? Do you use it to put on and remove wax?

That looks amazing!! The car really looks deep/dark black in the last picture. As far as the orange peel you are noticing it more because its your car and you spend alot of time polishing/waxing so you know every lil imperfection. I think your car is prolly my favorite ws6 and in the pics at least I dont notice the orange peel too much at all. Great work!!

His pictures make it look great.
Mine weren't in the sun, so you didn't get the full effect I guess.
I was told it made a HUGE difference when you see it driving on the street by a friend (DanWS6).
We recently did his car as well, just not to the extent of mine.
