    HEADERS CAUSING o2 PROBLEMS?

I just got an LS1 which already has hooker(i think) longtube ceramic coated headers on it... The SES light came on, upon having it scanned I learned that the O2 sensor heater is causing the problem. Im wondering if the headers could have anything to do with the problem? if so, isn';t there a type of "dummy plug" which gives the computer a false, but good reading?

    Research "O2 sims".
Yes, you can replace the rear O2 sensors with the 'simulators' which simply fake out the pcm into thinking everything is okay behiond the cats.

Or find a speed shop around with LS1Edit or HPTuners & have the sensors 'tuned' out of the program all together.

Not sure what you mean by 'heater' tho, ...

What codes are you throwing? I Had an issue after instailing my lt's and ory, I had too purchase new front 02 sensors because they were "lazy" not responding fast enough too the comp. In the end it was caused by the ceramic flaking off and cloggin up the sensors

Yeah I had the same problem. Every thing was fine before the headers then I went and got it tuned and the tuner noticed the drivers side 02 was lazy, but it still ran like a champ and put down good numbers on the dyno. Then on a test drive we noticed it started hesitating really bad and only got worse over then next couple days before I changed the o2's. Mine were't ceramic coated but they did sit in the garage for a year so i'm sure all the crap that was proabbly in them did't help the o2's.
