Lease Return

My girls lease is up May 1st and of course the dealership is trying to get her into another new vehicle before then because it sort of affords them a window rather than wait for the return of the vehicle. Makes business sense.

Anyway, does any one have experience in a lease return? What should I expect? How anal are they going to be?

I returned a cadillac sts for my boss. There wasn't any damage done to the car and the mileage was under the allotted amount so they didn't care. My boss made me take a pic of every body panel and the whole interior because he said he got screwed before and they charge him for damage that wasn't there. By that point the car was out of state so he had no way of proving otherwise. didn't matter the guy is rich but be careful if it's a sheisty stealership...

usually they look to see the mileage, then they check for major damage, then they should check the tires to see if they have any tread left. usually start it up and make sure it runs. Not anything too crazy unless they want to be real jerks about it.
