I have seen that before. I would take it out inspect the bushings, replace if needed. Grease them well with marine grease and reinstall checking to be sure its all tighted down within spec.

Thanks for the information - The noise seems to be coming from the rotating socket on the end not from where the bolt goes through the hole/bushing.

my stock 10 bolt have 130k on it but I have a TA cover and apr cap bolts. I do belive its the key to keeping them alive.
Yes stock tranny is perfect. If you ever get a reduild just get the upgraded servos and do not f- with anything else. No shift kit, use gm clutch set/band. you can always bump the line pressure a little with a programmer.

hey man, im interested in the gears. do u still have them?
if i cant find a set of cheap 373s i might end up buyin those from u.
how much do mechanics usually charge to install gears since i dont have enough knowledge to do it myself.
also, due to my lack of knowledge, will all gm rear gears work in all gm cars?
<<<<<my cars over there.

what year car do you have ,what ratio do you have now, what did it have new? are you still using the factory carrier? thanks.
If needed I have a stock firehawk posi unit I can sell also for $200.00 thats correct for those gears but I would rather not.

ok will give you some time on the stall,
atcharming - you can only go to 3.08 then you will have to buy the ring gear spacer, long bolts to go any further in ratio. Its best (most reliable , less rotating weight) for you to purchase a 3 series carrier. You may want to find a complete takeout rear for your car with those gears in it and setup already if you don't know how to do it. may be about the same cost after you pay someone to set it up.
