NJ People... need help with used vehical purchase procedures

(private party) So I know I need the title signed with address, miliage and selling price, and I bring that with a proof of insurance to the DMV to get plates/registration, but they also said I need a reciept of payment of the taxs on it. Where the hell do I go to pay the tax's on private part sale?? Do I pay the seller directly or do i go somewhere to pay them? And how much is it, is it 7% like the sales tax's or somethin else?

For private party sales you pay the tax at DMV. If it was a dealer you pay at the dealer. NJDMV is retarded. Sales tax is now 7%

So instead of paying the 7% sales tax you pay at least 10% in (federal) income taxes, brilliant!!!!!
