    4.3L Okay for Spray?

Its weird because you know in some ways I kind of feel like my little engine is the little brother to the 350 becasue of its characteristics. The only difference is, im missing 2 cylinders. Now I know the 350 is a tough ass motor, so I will assume that the 262 (4.3L) is also. Everything is bolton from one engine to the other except for the cam and the crank, and the oil pan.

So here is the question, would it be safe to run spray on a 4.3L? If yes, then how much of a shot?

BTW it will be a dry set up. Like a sneeky pete set up or something.

Not sure about the dry setup? But I use to have a 99 Sonoma 4.3L reg cab and was spraying 175 wet to it. The only problems I had was the tranny it was auto and it didnt like it. Had to baby it shifting on spray. Stock fuel pump and only other mods where gears, hypertech programmer (just to keep from shutting off at 98 mph), and few custom tricks.

Very cool, it was just an idea for me. Just something to punch every now and then when I encounter a ricer.

We put a 4.3 Vortech into a Chevette with a fogger plumbed into the intake runners and it handled 175 forever. It's still killing imports in Texas. These kids see it at the street races and don't even know what it is.....

If you are going to run a dry set up I would NOT.... But I wouldn't go past 50.
If you go with a wet set-up I would say your safe to 100 shot as long as it's installed and tuned correctly.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

Wet is the way to go. S10forum.com has a bunch of guys spraying 4.3's... 100 shot is about your limit on a stock fuel pump but the walbro pumps are pretty cheap. On the dyno mine done fine on 100 but when I bumped it up to 125 it leaned out pretty bad.
If you have a programmer be sure to take the power tuning out
