College people: Anyone have an internship?

Does anyone here have an internship? If so...

What is your major?
How did you get it?
Where is it at/ what company?
What do you do there?
Do you get paid?

i had 2 just finished one before the semsester started. I'm bio/pre med at umbc. I got both my interships through my dad since he is a doctor and has many friends in the profession. The first one my soph year was at kernan hospital. which i basicall followed around different surgeons trying to figure out what i wanted to do. I couldn't do much there because of legal reasons. The next this past january i shadowed a friend who is a dentist and owns his own office. There i got to take impressions and do a root canal on a tooth that was already extracted. I didnt get paid for eaither of them since i was just observing and learning trying to figure out what kind of medicine i want to practice. The first internship i did get college credit for but not the second one.

Not sure if my work is an internship, but... Im an assistant researcher under a neuroscientist at SIU School Of Medicine. To be honest, the job kinda fell into my lap. I was only suppose to work there for a few weeks, but I was able to impress the professor enough that he decided to keep me indefinatly. Now Im the head undergraduate and doing research of my own. We are currently concentrating on epilepsy and how aging affects cognition. I get payed $6.50/hour for 10 hours a week, although I work nearly double that.

Oh ya, I'm majoring in physiology and minoring in chemistry
