New Ls7 clutch kit installed
I installed the kit over the weekend and almost everything went smoothly. The only problem was changing the master cylinder. What a pita! I bled the clutch and it engages right from the floor, but the pedal still feels soft. I know its normal for it to engage from the floor until its broken in; is it also suppose to be soft too?

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
I also just put the LS7 clutch in my 00 SS and LOVE it. I had about 100 miles on it and went to the track and everything is awesome.

hot spots are from the clutch slipping. friction makes heat.

what's the correct way to bleed a clutch? I heard of two different ways. The first way is to pump the clutch up and hold the clutch down then unscrew the bleeder and tighten the bleeder. The second way is to open the bleeder and push the clutch to the floor and hold it down, then loosen the bleeder and then tighten it.

I'm of the opinion that you can't pump up a clutch.
When I do it I t it gravity bleed then. tighten the bleeder and use the second method you listed. but put the pedal to the floor then open it.Last edited by itsfess; 06-11-2008 at 09:49 AM. Reason: add
