Best exhaust system for a Z28??

Getting ready to put an exhaust on my car... Whats the best sounding and best performance one on the market at a reasonable price? I heard the magnaflow catback is pretty good and my dad has an SLP on his goat, it sounds nice. Any suggestions?

borla..(not the adjustable one), lots of guys have the adjustable one i think its too raspy and loud...they make another one, which i have, its expensive though like 800... but its t304 stainless<--- the good shit, and the power jump was very noticeable...either borla or corsa

GMMG chambered is the best catback you can get. Costs about $700-800

    True duals in my opinion.

However it's a very subjective question and you'll get tons of different answers. There are many sound clips online that you can hear. Borla is not bad and it's adjustable (but again, can sound raspy especially if you have an ORY). GMMG sounds good.

If you're just going to loud then get a cutout for $30 and save yourself some money.

We've had a bunch of different exhaust set ups on our project cars and sold just about every type to customers. Some I didn't like while others did. On of of our F-bodies, we're now running custom true duals and absolutely love 'em!

Good luck with your decision. Any questions...feel free to IM me, I'll be happy to help as best I can.

    flowmaster!

Now I'm being serious, GMMG! Just save your money, I don't care how long it takes... just save it and you'll be happy because that's what I'm trying to do now. When I get mine I may uninstall my Monsoon stereo and never look back.

Did you guys not read where it says "reasonable"?
You can get the SLP Loudmouth for less than $400. I think it sounds great.

I would go with the Magnaflow...stainless steel and sounds great. I added LT headers and without cats the magnaflow was really loud...too loud for in town..police magnet. The loudmouth is even louder...so there is no way I could run that one.. For price and quality...plus sound..the magnaflow is the best choice.

Thanks for the advice.. I think i'm swaying between the Magnaflow and the SLP, and if I'm not completely happy I can always upgrade later on.

There are two different Loudmouth exhaust systems. The Loudmouth (muffler is a hollow resonator and is very loud), and the Loudmouth II (has a muffler with ceramic wrapped core, and sounds great). You can chose which Tips you want, dual 3.5 inch tips, or dual/dual tips. I bought mine from Summit Racing online. They had the best price.

    Hope this info. helps.

I got LTs, Ypipe, magnaflow catback and it sounds really good in my opinion and very loud as soon as you hit the higher rpms but i don't like the single exhaust tips myself...

I am saving up for a Borla catback (non-adjustable),Pacesetter Lt's, offroad y-pipe(catless), and an electric cutout.

    1. Would the offroad y-pipe set off the SES light?
    2. would that be too loud for everyday driving? (cutout closed)

For sounds I think nothing beats true duals. Such a wicked sound to them.
